59 ALF 900, ex-Port Monmouth, New Jersey, owned by Doug Hutchings, Fire Buffs-IL, SPAAMFAA, ATHS-Windy City Chapter, ATCA, Fire Museum-Greater Chicago Vernon Hills (Chicago), IL

West End Fire & Rescue, Shippensburg, PA, 1935 International, This engine was purchased in November 1957 from the Upland Fire Company in Pennsylvania and was WEFR's first engine. The engine was equipped with a 400 gpm Hale pump. Upland purchased the IH chassis from Williamson Oldsmobile, 9th and Loyd Streets, Chester. It was fitted on a former horse drawn chemical wagon from the Philadelphia Fire Department. At a unknown date the Engine was sold to Walnut, Pa. After that the engine had numerous owners. In July 1995 members of WEFR noticed a photo of the engine in a calendar while attending the Pennsylvania Pump Primers muster in Harrisburg. After numerous phone calls the unit was located just outside Lewistown, Pa in the possession of Jack Knox. In October 1995 the pumper was back in Shippensburg after long time member Ray Lehman volunteered to pay $500 for the unit. A contract was signed with Ivan Bretzman of Mount Holly Springs for $11,000 to do a restoration. After soliciting funds most of which came from Company members Ivan began work on the engine. Restoration was completed in 1998 and the engine is now setting proudly back where it belongs at the West End Fire and Rescue Company.

The Sanfordtown V.F.D. evolved into the Southern Hills F.D. The Southern Hills V.F.D. protected several communities in Kenton County, Kentucky including Edgewood. On July 1, 1996. the Southern Hills F.D. became the City of Edgewood F.D. When this pumper was restored it was decided that the original Sanfordtown lettering would be used. The Sanfordtown V.F.D. station is still standing, but due to annexation the structure is located in the City of Ft. Wright., not Edgewood!

Cincinnati was once the home of world famous Ahrens-Fox fire engines. Munster, Indiana purchased this model V-C pumper in 1939. A 500 gallons per minute pump was installed along with a 250 gallon booster. At the time the apparatus was manufactured the 250 gallon tank size was considered large.

This nicely maintained hand engine is owned by the Osgood, Indiana Fire Department. Rumsey & Company of Seneca Falls, New York built this machine in 1886.
